Our precious nation is under attack. Forces of socialism and communism threaten to take residence in the soul of America. Now is the time for the Church of Christ to close ranks against this Godless invader! I am stunned and grieved when I hear church voices throw fiery arrows at the backs of brothers and sisters. Church, this is not the time to demand retractions and to embark on apology tours. Settle into the arms of Father God for he is still at work. He is our refuge when circumstances shake us to the core. Stay close to His heart while this storm passes over us (Psalm 57:1). Wait on Him. When focusing our attention on His heart beat, we are unified in purpose. Let us return together to the Mountain of the LORD! We have the answer for our wounded nation. The healing of our nation starts with us. We have a lot of work ahead. Let us not waste time and energy fighting among each other. Trust the Lord my friends.
Let us declare in unison the words written in Hosea 6:1-3 (NLT)
“Come, let us [Israel and Judah] return to the LORD! He has torn us in pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds. In just a short time, he will restore us so we can live in his presence. Oh, that we might know the LORD! Let us press on to know him! Then he will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.”
America, do not despair. Our God is the God of the impossible. Our God heals. The dawn is upon us, the spring rains will soon be here. We are being healed so we can heal. God wants the nations! We are called to reach out to the nations. Nothing else matters.
Complete what you’ve started in us Lord, so we will be wanting for nothing in our assignment.
